Changes to class schedule . . .

A few changes to the FKCC class schedule have occurred.  Digital photography at FKCC campus in Marathon has a new start date (see below) to attract more students.  The Introduction to Photoshop is on hold while FKCC approves classroom location changes.  Digital Photography on the Coral Shores campus of FKCC has started and if you sign up this week there is time to join the class.

Arlington County Virginia

On a recent trip to northern Virginia for Thanksgiving with my family I had the opportunity to visit three small parks in Arlington County. They were Bon Air  Park, Four Mile Run Park, with Four Mile Run running through it and Lubber Run Park with the smaller Lubber Run creek meandering through the grounds. The weather was cool, mid 40s, with overcast skies. These conditions make for slow shutter speeds and image stabilized lenses. What follows are a few images from this trip.

Nor’easter on Cape Cod

I flew into Boston’s Logan airport as a nor’easter headed for Cape Cod. For two days I was kept indoors by high wind and driving rain — rough conditions for digital cameras. On the third day I ventured out deciding that if the weather was going to present me with a black and white world I would simply make the most of it in black and white.
